  • Introduction

Keeping a baby engaged can be quite a challenge, especially during the crucial stages of development from 6 months to 1 year. As parents, it is essential to provide stimulating and interactive toys that can captivate your child’s attention and aid in their growth. Having an 8-month-old myself, I understand the search for toys that truly keep them busy while also being safe and educational.

    1. Stacking and Nesting Toys

One of the most effective types of toys for an 8-month-old are stacking and nesting toys. These simple yet versatile toys encourage problem-solving and motor skills as babies learn how to stack or nest the components. Not only do they keep little ones entertained, but they also help in developing hand-eye coordination. Look for sets made of soft, bright materials that are easy to grasp. Here are some of my baby’s favorite stacking toys:

  • Flying with a four-year-old is an adventure all on its own — and having the right toys can make all the difference between a smooth, peaceful flight and a long day of “Are we there yet?” After countless trips, I’ve finally narrowed down the travel toys that actually keep my child entertained through airports, long lines, and hours in the air. These are my four-year-old’s true favorites — the ones he reaches for every time and the ones that save my sanity on travel days. If you’re preparing for your next flight, this list will make packing so much easier (and your journey a whole lot calmer). ✈️💛

    Travel Sized Magnetic Tiles

My son loves the original sized magnet tiles, so when I saw these cute small ones, I knew it would be perfect for travel and something to keep him busy on the airplane!

      Water Wow Books

My kid loves the surprise of watching the colorful scenes appear with each stroke of water, and I love that it keeps him entertained for long stretches without any clean-up. A total win for travel days and hotel downtime alike!

      Yoto Player

The Yoto Mini has quickly become one of our most-loved travel essentials for long flights, hotel downtime, and airport waiting areas. It’s a kid-friendly audio player that plays stories, songs, and podcasts — all without screens. No apps, no notifications, no ads — just pure listening fun that keeps little brains engaged and happy.

      Magna Men

My 4-year-old loves making new characters and stories with this set, and I love that it keeps him absorbed without loud noises or screen time — which makes travel days, layovers, and hotel evenings way more peaceful.

      Road Tape + Small Cars

Busy travel days call for toys that are simple, portable, and endlessly engaging — and this Road/Track Tape delivers just that. It’s a roll of sticker-style road and track tape you can lay out on floors, walls, hotel surfaces, or even luggage.

Your child can zoom cars along the twists and turns for imaginative play without needing a big setup.

      Mini Magnet Blocks

I love these because they are compact & self-contained: These magnetic blocks pack up small, and because they cling to each other, they’re easy to store and won’t scatter all over the floor.

      Transformer Toys

Recently my 4 year old has gotten more into robots/transformers. I noticed him carrying one around everywhere we went, as he loved spending so much time turning it into a car, and then back to a robot. So this pack is perfect that gives him a variety to work with and entertained during travel

      Dot It Sticker Art Activity

I love this mess free fun: no paints, brushes, or cleanup — the adhesive dot stickers stick neatly right where they belong, making it ideal for small spaces like airplane seats.

      Sensory Activity Board

Perfect for small spaces: Slim and lightweight, it fits easily into a backpack or carry-on seat pocket.

      Magnetic Puzzle

Recently my son is into all sorts of different things, and puzzles is one of them. So this magnetic puzzle was great because it wouldn’t fall out since it’s magnet, and kept him busy and hooked for a good amount of time.

      Food Travel Toy

This open-ended set keeps kids engaged through simple interaction and imaginative play, perfect for long flights or waiting in lounges.

      Sticker Wow Activity Pad

My 4-year-old loves choosing his favorite stickers and building little stories — it’s simple, quiet, and keeps his imagination active during travel. A great go-to for airport layovers, flights, and hotel room chill time!

    1. Packing for an all-inclusive resort used to feel simple… until I became a mom of two little kids. Now it’s less “throw swimsuits in a bag” and more “Did I pack the sunscreen? The sound machine? The snacks? The extra outfits?”

After a few family trips with a 4-year-old and a 1-year-old, I finally created the master packing list I wish I had from day one — the list that keeps everyone happy, comfortable, and meltdown-free (including me!).

This is my realistic, mom-tested guide to packing for an all-inclusive vacation with small kids. If you want a smooth, stress-free resort trip where you’re not constantly wishing you packed something… this is the list for you. ✈️🌴 I will separate this into categories so it is easier, and for my 4 and 1 year old and will also include links to products I find helpful. Note: This is for a 7 day vacation.

Introduction to the At-Home Coffee Bar

Creating a dedicated coffee bar at home is an excellent way to indulge your coffee passion and enhance your daily routine. With the right setup, your coffee station can transform a simple cup of coffee into an exquisite experience. This blog post explores various at-home coffee bar ideas and practical tips to elevate your coffee station to new heights.

The design of your coffee bar plays a crucial role in its aesthetics and functionality. Consider dedicating a corner of your kitchen, a sturdy console table, or even a small cart for this purpose. To create an inviting coffee station, start by selecting the right elements:

      1. Bon Augure Coffee Bar Cabinet: If you are trying to save countertop space, a coffee cart is a good idea as you can have your machine on the top and all your accessories inside.
      2. Bestier Coffee Bar With Storage: This one is another good coffee cart idea, and I like this one since it’s unique and different than most storage cabinets. The bonus is the rod where you can hang your cute coffee mugs.
      3. Farmhouse Buffet Cabinet: I like this cabinet a lot since it has a minimalistic look, all the items inside are completely hidden so it looks nice and clean. The doors have a nice look that can enhance your living space.
      4. Nespresso Vertuo Pop: For use of ease and still have a good tasting coffee, Nespresso is a staple in every home.
      5. Breville Barista Express: After doing a lot of research, I came to the conclusion that Breville Barista Express is a good choice of coffee machine. It’s definitely the coffee machine I will buy next (after I save some money because the price tag is quite high).

      1. Storage Containers: These containers are perfect to store your sugar, beans, etc. Aside from the air tight aspect, I love that it comes with spoons on the side making it easier for you!
      2. Tea Canister: This tea canister is so cute and aesthetic, it will enhance your coffee station.
      3. Coffee Spoons: Not only are these coffee spoons cute, but I love that it’s long. Perfect for stirring a tall cup of iced coffee. My iced coffee lovers will get what I mean !!
      4. Mug Holder: This mug holder makes it easy for you to keep all mugs in one place, and easy to access as well.
      5. Coffee Syrup Dispenser: My favorite drink is an iced caramel or vanilla latte, so you already know I have to have these cute dispensers with my syrups.
      6. Measuring Glass: For those who are very precise with their coffee and measurements, make it cute and do it in this pretty measuring glass.
      7. Coffee Bar Mat: This mat is very useful. When I had my coffee machine on a plain white cabinet, there would always be brown splatters of coffee that was hard to clean sometimes. This mat makes it much easier for cleaning.
      8. Organizing Stand: This stand makes it easier to store all coffee essentials in one place.
      9. Jars With Cork Ball Lid: These jars are simply for the aesthetics. It’s so unique and I love the cork balls.

      2. AeroPress: The AeroPress is popular because it’s versatile, fast, easy to use, and makes a smooth, rich cup of coffee without bitterness. It’s also compact, durable, and easy to clean, making it ideal for travel or home use.
      3. Bean Grinder: This bean grinder is useful as you can buy any beans of your choice and just grind it at home, instead of looking for bags of coffee that’s already grinded.
      4. Handheld Frother: The handheld frother is SUPER useful. If you are like me and are addicted to dalgona coffee after the COVID era, then this is perfect for you lol. I still make it atleast once a week!
      5. Milk Frother: A milk frother is essential for any coffee lover. I am biased and am linking this Nespresso one since I purchased it with my Nespresso machine. But I do like the ease of use and cleaning.
      6. Airtight Container: The Airscape container is the perfect coffee canister with its patented technology that not only keeps air from getting in, it also zaps air out of the canister. This minimizes oxidation and keeps your coffee beans (or grounds) fresh and flavourful.

      1. Cute Ceramic Mugs: I love this mug because it’s such a Insta worthy mug lol. The design is absolutely the cutest and it makes making coffee feel even more fun.
      2. Glass Tumbler: This tumbler is not only cute, but also convenient since you can take it with you on the go. The sleeve makes it even better for on the run
      3. Ribbed Glass: This is a beautiful aesthetic glass for your coffee station, especially if you are an iced coffee girlie like me.
      4. Ribbed Mug With Lid: This feels like a bonus glass since there is a lid. If you are like me and have to reheat your coffee a million times, then this is a great idea.
      5. Ribbed Glass: Not only am I a sucker for caffeinated beverages, but I also love sparkling drinks. Using my Ninja Thirsti I love making different mocktails, and these glasses are the best for those types of drinks.
      6. Zwilling Double Walled Glass: I have my latte in this glass ALL the time. I actually found it at a Zwilling warehouse sale – but I have linked the Amazon link. What I love about this glass is that it’s double walled so you can drink hot drinks in this as well without the heat coming on your hands.

      1. Farmhouse Sign: This sign is super cute, especially if you are going for a farmhouse look.
      2. Mug Holder: This mug holder not only organizes your mugs, but it acts as a cute decor piece too.
      3. Coffee Menu: Not only is this a good decor item, but it will help when you are bringing out your inner barista.
      4. Coffee Truck: This coffee truck is so cute, it goes with the farmhouse look as well and you can even use it to hold a bag of coffee beans.
      5. Coffee Book Decor: I would place this on my coffee cart to add an oomph to the overall look.

    6. Introduction to Aesthetic Toy Kitchens

*Disclaimer: As an amazon associate, I may earn from qualifying purchases*

In recent years, aesthetic toy kitchens have gained significant popularity as not only a delightful playtime accessory for children but also as a stylish addition to home decor. These beautifully designed mini kitchens blend seamlessly into various interior designs, ensuring they enhance, rather than disrupt, your living space. Choosing a toy kitchen that balances aesthetics with functionality can elevate your home environment while providing children with limitless opportunities for imaginative play

      1. Robotime Mud Kitchen: I’m guilty of being a beige mom, but if you want to add some colour in your life but still have the aesthetic look – this kitchen is perfect. It has elegant features, but the colour is still not so in your face and I can see it being part of a living space nicely. It gives me cozy cottage vibes!
      2. BPMFKid Kitchen: Lookswise – this is my favorite. It actually reminds me of my own kitchen inspo since I absolutely love the golden knobs and accent. This toy kitchen will especially blend in nicely with your home if you are going for the TikTok white and beige look!
      3. Leeshyah Play Kitchen: I tried again to find a non-beige/white kitchen, and I came across this one which I really liked. It’s black but still aesthetic and can blend in nicely into a living space.
      4. Robud Play Kitchen [Pink]: When I first saw this kitchen, the first thing that came into my head was that my daughter would love this!! I love how it’s cute and girly, but pink is a nice aesthetic pink which makes it fitting for parents who want this in their living room or so, but don’t want to ruin the look.
      5. Robud Play Kitchen [White]: This one is kind of self explanatory, the colours of this kitchen make it easy for this to flow along with other furnitures in your living space!
      6. TinyLand Play Kitchen: This one is my other favorite one. The backsplash? Ok how cute! Also one of the main reasons I like this is the size, it’s not too big that it will take up a lot of space but it is a good size where I can see it being nicely tucked away in the corner of a living room.
